Ugyanúgy, mint múlt évben, idén is elmentünk egy nagyszerű koncertre a Fővárosi Állat- és Növénykertbe. Majdnem szó szerint idézhetném is a múlt évi naplóbejegyzésem.:)
Nem, nem tévedés, szerda este a Pálmaház és a tó közötti úton, krokodilok, pávák és fekete hattyúk szomszédságában egy koncertsorozat részeként egy fergeteges Bolyki Brothers koncertet volt szerencsém végighallgatni, némi szúnyogcsípés kíséretében. Valószínűleg kevesen ismerik őket itthon, a műfaj, amit képviselnek, nem éppen a pop-kultúra része. Ők egy úgynevezett  "a capella" együttes, akik időnként gospelt is énekelnek népszerű dalok "a capella" feldolgozása és saját szerzeményeik mellett. Sok országban megfordultak már, megkockáztatom, hogy például Németországban jobban ismerik őket, mint itthon. Telt ház volt, ami azt jelenti, hogy minden helyen ültek, jó néhányan meg  pálmaház melletti teraszról hallgatták. Három testvér (plusz még egy zenész), innen a nevük. Véletlenül fedeztem fel őket egy ideje az interneten (youtube) és azóta már ez az ötödik(!) koncertjük, amin ott voltam a lányommal együtt. Mindketten nagyon élveztük, igazán fantasztikusak voltak, meghatottak, elvarázsoltak, megnevettettek. Hihetetlenül tehetséges és nagyon kedves, szerény emberek, akikat múlt nyáron volt szerencsém személyesen is megismerni. Just like in last year, Wednesday night we were at a concert in the Budapest Zoo. I could almost quote my last year's post, LOL!
No, it's not a mistake, in the Zoo, on the road between the Palm House and the lake, in the neighborhood of crocodiles, peacocks and black swans I was lucky to listen to a fantastic Bolyki Brothers' concert (or show, LOL!) getting some mosquito bites. Probably they are not so well-known here in Hungary, their genre, the "a capella " singing is not really the part of the pop culture. They sing adaptations of popular songs, gospel sometimes and their own songs as well. They gave concerts all over the world and I guess, that they are better known e.g. in Germany, than here. There were a lot of people there, every place was occupied, even some were listening from the terrace beside the Palm House. Three brothers (plus one more musician), that's the origin of the name. I discovered their music at youtube for a while and this was the fifth(!) concert of them I listened to together with my daughter. We really enjoyed it, they were fantastic: made me cry, enchanted me, made me laugh. They are incredibly talented and kind and modest men. I was so lucky because I could meet with them personally last year. You can find some videos from youtube (some of them are a little old), where they're singing.
