Vidding year meme 2008 here
Vidding year meme 2009 here
This year, I made my first Merlin videos - I love this show so much! I made some Stargate Atlantis videos as well and video for last year's Festivids, which is a movie trailer. And I've just finished this year's Festivids video (YAY!), which is not online yet.
Not too many videos this year, only 8 - plus the unrevealed one for
festivids .
This year's greatest experience for me, as a vidder was when I could see two of my videos on the big screen at FedCon (Bonn, Germany). The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trailer: SGA Style was shown right before David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan stepped on the stage!:) The other one, The Show Must Go On was on screen at leat twice (I've seen it!) once before Joe Flanigan's panel! I couldn't be happier!:)))
(Download links can be found at my website or streaming atsfport and Youtube - with a few videos only.)
April: Imminent Domain - this video was made for Merlin Artwork challenge at Camelot Fleet for the beautiful fanfic Imminent Domain is written by
mrinalinee
May: Merlin and the Half Blood Prince - this was made for the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince trailer's soundtrack, originally I made this one for
, but I missed the deadline unfortunately.:(
July: Between - a Gwen/Arthur/Lancelot triangle video. This one was made for this year's Sweet Charity Auction, for
podfic_lover 's request.
Dr. Zelenka's Adventures - an SGA vidlet, made specially for the SFPort Con at Budapest - my home town - where we could meet with David Nykl a.k.a. Dr. Zelenka himself! I never made a video within such a short time.:)
September: Everything in It's Right Place - I made this video at
this year, for the exciting fanfic with the same title, is written by
vipersweb .
October: Stargate Galaxy trailer (this one was made for Stargate Galaxy FRPG site as a promotional video for a request)
December: I finished my gift vid at
finally, but the very last changes were made only today. That one is not public at this moment yet. :)
Favourite vid: Definitely Merlin and the Half Blood Prince. Like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trailer last year, making a video to a different movie trailer's soundtrack was so much fun to edit. :D
Least favourite vid: none, I loved them all!
Most successful: Maybe The Thoughtcrimes trailer, but I'M not really sure about it.
Most under appreciated: I really don't know, probably the Everything is in It's RIght Place. The Big Bang videos have smaller audience usually.
Hardest to make: Dr.Zelenka's Adventures, of course. Because I did this one on the previous day before the Con. It was like a race against the time.
Most fun to make: its a tie: Merlin and the Half Blood Prince and Dr. Zelenka's Adventures. Both vids were real challenge to make, from different reasons, but so much fun as well.
I'm still using the old Magix Movie Edit Pro12 software. Maybe I'll uprade this to a newer version of it or I'll try another, more professional software. Trying After Effects is also a possibility.
My permanent goals remained: I wish to move on towards other fandoms and movies. Additionally I want to find the balance in my way of vidding between a totally pre-designed vid and an intuitively edited vid. How to fInd the most appropriate song for my vid is also a thing to learn. I also made this statement at last year's vidding meme.*grins*
And the last set of awards in 2010 are here:
Happy New Year everyone!

Date: 2011-01-02 09:27 pm (UTC)And to think me and Alex were both there at the same time as you!! You may even have heard my question to Joe about Martin Firrell's photo shoot that he was doing a few days later in London. I don't know if you asked any questions, but I found myself talking in slow motion as the feedback from the microphone really threw me!
Hopefully, one day, we'll get to meet in person.

Date: 2011-01-03 09:41 pm (UTC)No, I haven't had the chance to ask him, but I remember the question you asked.
I could talk with him a little at the autograph session. When I told him, that I was from Hungary and my name for the autograph, he just remembered the missed chat on the internet with the Hungarian fans in 2009, organized by AXN TV-channel. He told he was so sorry for the fiasco and explained that the internet connection in the hotel in Toronto - where he was because shooting the Warehouse 13 episode - was not working at the time of the chat unfortunately. We already knew that, but it was nice to hear that from him, bacause some fans thought that it was a scam, I mean we could have a chat with him.
I also hope, that we could meet some day personally.:)
